Music shortcut in IOS 11.

The apple music app shortcut doesn't work in IOS 11 properly. I mean when I press the music button from the control centre it does open the app but I am not able to change music track either from the control centre or the lock screen. I have to literally go to the music app and do it from there. Although this problem didn't persist after I restarted my phone but I want a permanant solution to this problem so it  doesn't occur again.
