Apple watch series 3 taking so long ?

Yesterday I wanted to pre order apple watch series 3 but it tells me that the watch will arrive Oct. 5th I was confused that I'm pre ordering it and it will arrive after the watch will be available in the stores. So is that normal ? 

It all depends on how many people managed to get their pre-orders in before you did. It sounds as if this model is in high demand.

 

Sometimes, the shipping date changes if Apple ramps up production enough.

If you ordered an Apple Watch Nike+ Series 3 model, then 5 October was the earliest possible delivery date for that model range. Some other models may be available from 22 September, but not Nike+.
