iTunes 12.6.2.20 and iOS 10.3.3 Sync Errors wit...

Hi

Ever since the release of iTunes 12.6.2.20 x64 on Windows 10 Pro and the release of iOS 10.3.3, backing up my iPhone 6s has been failing with the warning of "iPhone has disconnected"...

I searched everywhere for ways to resolve this issue and nothing helped. So to narrow the problem down I deleted the data that is stored in some of the Apps when accessed via the Apps section of the phone in iTunes. And behold the backup worked! So I added those deleted files back in to isolate the problem. To cut a long story short I use Onkyo HF Player to listen to Hi-Res Music and some of the file names contain Diacritic letters. this didn't happen before in either previous versions of iTunes or iOS...

So I removed/replaced any of those special characters and the backup is now working.

This has led me to believe that either the recent update of iTunes 12.6.2.20 or iOS 10.3.3 or possibly both is causing this error.

I have confirmed this on two separate Windows 10 Pro machines.

I have also confirmed that it is not just related to the Onkyo HF Player. I created a simple café.docx file with nothing in it and added it to Microsoft Word. The error does appear.
