Apple Music app shuts down on ios 11

Can't use the Music app anymore.  I tap the icon.  It opens for half a second and closes.

This is happening since the IOS 11 upgrade.  Ridiculous.

I have tried  closing, rebooting, opening via various ways and all types of other suggestions found in articles (apparently many are experiencing that problem). Nothing works.

That's on top of the huge battery problem.
