Urgent: LG Monitor compatability for Macbookpro

Hi Everyone.

I hope you are all doing well. I am most likely buying a used monitor tomorrow, and I have found in most forums that Macbooks are supported on it, but depending on the year some extra work must be done to get the proper resolution.

I own a 2015 Macbook Pro, when going to about this Mac, the specs are

I OS X El Capitan Version 10.11.3 MacBook Pro (retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015)
Processor: 2.2 Hz Intel I7
Graphis: Intel Iris Pro 1536 MB
Display: 15.4 inch (2880x1800) - The monitor is

LG 34UM65

I have found that for earlier models this year sometimes they need to download a resolution app to specify it, or edit their display scaling. Can you give insight as to if this is compatable via straight HDMI, or if I will need to do a lot of excess work/additional display downloads?
