How do I connect power, DVI plug and hub?

Just opened my new MacBook Pro and transferring data.

So right now I have the power cord and TimeMachine plugged into the two ports.

I have a DVI adaptor for my monitor and a four port hub with C connector.  However, NOW I am wondering how do I keep it plugged into power, and use the DVI for my monitor and the hub for peripherals like TimeMachine, keyboard and iPhone USB cord.  I know I do not have to have the USB cord plugged into the hub all the time, but I need to keep my keyboard and a couple of other devices plugged in.

I explained this to the sale associate at the Apple Store and he recommended the hub and adaptor, but I did not even think of asking this question.

Hi,

I think you're going to need a dock such as this (OWC USB-C 10-Port Dock with 80 Watt Power Supply -... at MacSales.com) with a MDP to DVI adapter such as this (Mini DisplayPort to DVI Adapter - Apple).
