MBP 2016 Touch Bar External Monitor Flicker

I recently upgraded the OS from Sierra to High Sierra, which resulted in an unusable external display. I used the "Satechi 7-1 USB-C adapter, which worked perfectly before. Now every 5 seconds, the external screen turns blue for an instant and then turns back, while both the laptop and monitor experience delayed performance on screen.

I would like to know how I can solve this problem.

MacBook Pro with Touch Bar (2016 late)
