No video FaceTime iPad Pro 10.5

When I FaceTime anyone on my new iPad Pro  they cannot see me. I can see them and also see myself up st the left hand corner. i have seen users report this exact  problem on previous versions of IOS. Seems Apple has never admitted it, but subsequent version updates fix it. Is anyone else experiencing this. This is a new iPad Pro 10.5 with IOS 11.0.1 - all other Apple devices on my WiFi work fine in FaceTime.

Did you try the basic, restart, force restart, restore from backup and restore as new?

FWIW, my iPad 3rd generation with iOS 9.3.5 FaceTime works

iPad Air 2 & iPad Pro 12.9 2nd generation with iOS 11.0.2 FaceTime works.
