Touch Bar volume and brightness sliders not wor...

Hi,

I am using a 13.3 inch Macbook Pro 2016 with touch bar and after restoring from Time Machine back-up, the sliders for volume and brightness on the Touch Bar are no longer working. I use the Default Set control strip, the 'mute' and 'siri' functions work, but the sliders do not.

Before restoring from Time Machine, they worked fine: when volume/brightness button was touched, the slider appeared closer to the middle of the touch bar and  I could adjust them, now they do nothing at all.

Anyone else experiencing the same issue? Any thoughts?

Problem fixed after restarting the machine! Seriously thought I did that before posting.

Anyway, as you were!

This is still a problem ~9 months later and rebooting the mac is not an option! It's not a Windows Machine, it runs a unix kernel and so rebooting it except from kernel updates is an absurd suggestion.
