To view app subscriptions / memberships and turn off Automatic Renewal, follow the instructions here:

• View, change, or cancel your subscriptions - Apple Support

Note that your membership or subscription may still renew if you do not cancel it more than 24 hours before the renewal date.

If your payment is still taken, to ask Apple if you can cancel the renewal and receive a refund:

• Go the following page: Report a Problem
• Click on the Invoices tab / tap on the Menu icon and select Invoices.
• View the most recent invoice for your subscription.
• Click / tap on Report a Problem.

This happened to me and I've been charged! I need a refund
