Internet Accounts will not connect to Google

I am in Sys Preferences because calendar or mail says it cannot connect to my google account. It keeps asking me for my password but then I get a blank screen when I enter the correct one (the wrong one shows the error message). And it never finishes setting up the account. This just started happening on Sept 9.  

Also, I just tried deleting the account and adding back in and I got the dialog where I can sync mail, contacts etc, but when I click Done, it never finishes.
