piano roll grid does not display notes

I have recorded a piano piece in Logic Pro X. There are tempo and volume controller data overlaid on the notes. Today I overdubbed a sustain pedal track on top of it, and now the notes no longer display in the piano roll grid. The tempo controller data displays accurately, but the other controllers (volume and sustain pedal) don't display in their designated areas on the screen. The sequencer plays the music accurately, and the information shows in the schematic up in the MIDI area.

Is this fixable? I'd like to edit some of the sustain pedal data, but now of course can't get to it. (could undo and try again but would rather not.)
