Issue with MacBook Pro :: Display Not Available...

To whom this may concern,

Hello.

Issue:

I am having issues running my MacBook Pro with using it's internal (attached) display.

Specs:

macOS Sierra

version: 10.12.6

MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid 2012)

Processor 2.9 GHz Intel Core i7

Memory 8GB 1600 Mhz DDR3

Graphics Intel HD Graphics 4000 1536 MB

--

Model MacbookPro9,2

Explanation:

So I was trying to start up my MacBook today and the screen was not functioning.  I have kept up with general maintenance and care with the hardware (not spilled drinks / water damage) but it appears that the display is no longer working properly.

Upon pressing the power button, the computer does start-up (makes the start sound) but the screen itself has no display functionalities.  By the time the computer loads into the "Login Screen" it starts displaying weird colours and lines that resemble that of an interlacing screen refresh but does not form a picture.

Upon restarting the computer and loading into a "BOOTCAMP" environment (while still having no screen functionality (Holding ALT, pressing RIGHT ARROW, and ENTER) I am able to see a display load but it is not of the full resolution of the screen itself.  There is a SOLID WHITE LINE at the bottom of the screen (Roughly the size of a windows task bar/start bar) and a black space to the right (Roughly the size of the notification or info tab/feed) that is unused environment (the mouse is unable to proceed into the usable screen area (almost as if a lower resolution) nor is the screen space available to use for anything).  The computer is then able to run (from what I can tell) normally with the small window to the right but there is no options to change resolution above 800x600.

This tells/shows me that the computer itself is functional, but it is in a diminished screen size while running in a windows 10 (Home) BOOTCAMP environment.

Upon restarting the computer (and trying to load into my MAC Operating system) after seeing that windows was still working (with the internal display) I still get no signal, and the same colours / interlacing lines appear once at loading screen (Solid black screen until that point).

I decided to try to run the computer thru an HDMI to my monitor for my Desktop PC (running a Firewire (rocketfish) to HDMI) and to my surprise I was able to have a blurred out screen appear (@ the login menu for the Mac OS).  I closed the MacBook and re-opened the top very minorly and was then able to use the trackpad and keyboard to allow me to Login to my MacOS and am currently using the desktop from my PC for my Mac's monitor.  Upon getting connection from the PC Monitor the colours/interlacing lines on the MacBooks display then disappeared.

This is in-where I do not know what to do to fix the issue which seems to be isolated to the MacOS environment.

I have tried a few different things (but nothing has worked thus far):

1-Resetting System Management Controller

(SHIFT+CONTROL+OPTION+POWER then RESTART)

2-Keypress Sequence

(Facing mac into sleep mode, Focing Mac to then Power off, waiting 15seconds, then restart)

3-PRAM Reset

(COMMAND+OPTION+P+R @ login sound)

4-Chaning display settings while using my PC Monitor from MIRROR to EXTENDED and back

(Currently on Mirror)

... and i'm stuck and need some help.

Thank you in advance for any information, I'm hoping this issue can be resolved without going into a MAC/APPLE store as the warranty for this mac is up and the recall\replacement for issues on MY mac model (This is the first ever issue i've had with my MAC *Sigh*) have apparently ended @ December 31, 2016.. which is Extremely frustrating seeing as this is the first issue / roadblock I have had with this laptop since I purchased it.

I did do a bit of research about this issue and found that there was a silent recall on MacBook Models for this issues (MacBook Pro Repair Extension Program for Video Issues - Apple Support) and was hoping that if it indeed it has to be sent in that the computer should still be covered seeing as I was never notified about said issues until now.

Again, Thanks for any help / knowledge with this situation.

I don't care much for the BOOTCAMP Windows Partition and just want my MacBook running again on it's Native Screen without the need to plugin to my desktops monitor.

As a quick side note. I have always left the MACOS as the standard operating system on the PC's hardware, and have only used the BOOTCAMP environment to load windows (while leaving everything to do with MAC, Alone).  I have never installed windows directly onto the HDD, nor have I installed any versions of Linux.

Regards,

SteveNorris
