SSD upgrading post market on 2017 MacBook Pro 13"
I am contemplating purchasing a new 2017, 13 inch MacBook Pro with Touchbar. I currently have a Samsung 1TB SSD 2.5" SATA III drive in my 15" MacBook pro that I would like to use to replace the smaller drive. Does anyone know if this can be done easily, i.e. no soldering? I performed the last replacement with ease on my older MacBook Pro but have read that this is not easily achieved with the 2017 models.
Hi,
Unfortunately it can't be done as it's soldered to the logic board.
The installed SSD can not be changed.
