Window opening when connecting iPod

I have a window that opens when I connect my iPod upto my laptop that’s running Windows 10, I have latest version of iTunes 12.6, I already have iTunes open but as soon as I connect the iPod this window appears, I just want this window not to open, I can close it straight away but it’s just annoying, it’s a window that lists the iPod connections and files...

This is to do with Autoplay. You should be able to disable this by going to Autoplay settings under Control panel and changing the option for your iPod from "Ask me every time" to "Take no action". The window that opens each time should also contain a link that takes you into Autoplay settings directly. (NB: This is for Windows 7, so apologies if it doesn't apply in Windows 10).

 

Otherwise, within iTunes, unchecking the box for "Enable disk use" for your iPod should have the same effect.
