Command key treated as Windows button?

Hello! I was trying to boot into recovery mode, holding Command - r after the startup noise, but it would only boot up normally. I went online and used www.keyboardtester.com, and when I clicked the Command key, it showed that the "win" button was being pressed down. None of the other keys activated the Command input. I tried changing the modifier keys settings, but even with other keys it said that I was pressing "win." Please help!
