iTunes cannot see iOS 11.0.2

I am syncing my iPad Pro 12.9" 1st Gen and iPhone 7 on my 2012 MacBook Pro, using iTunes.

iTunes is nagging me to update the iOS on both devices from 10.3.2 to 11.0.1.

Question: Why can't iTunes see the later, 11.0.2 version of iOS?
