Old iMac died. How do I transfer backup of old ...
Old iMac died (early 2008 running OSX 10.9). Old Mac was backed up to external hard drive (LaCie d2 quadra, eSATA,FireWire 400 & USB 2) using SuperDuper program and not Time Machine. New Mac is a new 13" MacBook Pro (2.3 GHz dual core Intel Core i5 processor, 8 GB memory, 512 GB SSD storage, 2 Thunderbolt 3 ports). I repeat, I did not use Time Machine to perform the backup, only the program SuperDuper.
Question:
How do I transfer/migrate the information that is on the external LaCie hard drive into the new MacBook Pro?
Also, should I transfer everything that is on the external hard drive or selected items such as application, music, documents, music, etc?
Any information that you can supply would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Michael McMahon
