copying a dvd

I burned a home movie dvd on the hard drive. Now I want duplicate DVD's to give away. How do I copy my new MP4 files from my hard drive to a blank dvd on the external DVD/CD drive?

Use the Disk Utility to create a disk image of that DVD(save it as DVD/CD Master), and burn the image.

I am trying that. I can't seem to copy the MP4 I created. I think when the apple helper at the store helped me. We just copied it very easily without going into the disc utility menu and we burned the dvd. I just can't remember how we did it.

When using the Disk Utility, you duplicate the DVD, not the MP4 files used to create it. Making a DVD from those files requires going through the original process again, whether done in the Finder(ones made this way won’t work in a standalone player), iDVD, or third-party software.
