Touchpad malfunction after logging in, in the l...

I was so stupid that I trusted Apple's update can bring better stability.

So I installed the latest update as the screenshot described.

The touchpad is working fine when in the log screen.

But it then dies after logging in...

It just won't work, and now I will have to connect an external mouse...

Pretty hilarious and stupid...

Tried Safe-booting, SAME, fine at login, touchpad dies after logged in...

Restart the computer holding down the command - option/alt - P - R keys before the gray screen appears. Continue to hold until you hear the startup chime for the second time. You may need to try this several times.

Reset NVRAM/PRAM

Try a SMC reset. The article covers when this is required, but doing this will not affect anything.
