Superdrive not plug and play I have to re...

HI All

Is it just me? I plugin the superdrive to the USB and slide in a CD and it won't even go in. If I restart the system it's fine. I am having this issue with my laptop too. I am not sure if it is supposed to just start up when I plug it into the USB port. I see this issue with two different superdrives.
