How to make google mail work in Apple Mail???

For a couple of days, apple mail stopped working.

In the begining was asking for my google password again and again and after a while stopped working.

I tried removing and adding my google account again, but now it doesn't want to add my google account...

Anybody experienced that??? did you find any fix??

I am using a MBP, 15", Mid 2014, Mac OS Sierra 10.12.6, all updates up to date...

What happens when you try to add the account back?

Try Mail/Preferences/Accounts /Server Settings. Select an account, then go to Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP). From the drop down menu select Edit SMPT server list. See if the account is listed there. If so, delete the SMTP server for the account. Try to add the Mail account again.
