iTunes has stopped working!

Hello,

As the topic says "iTunes has stopped working - A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Please close the program."

Does anyone know how to fix this, i have been looking at many guides and stuff. but it still wont work for me.

I use win 7 64bit

... Maybe it's easier to sell all Apple devices and buy Android.....

Rather than the missing MSI link I should have posted this one.

Fix unexpected quits or launch issues in iTunes for Windows - Apple Support

Sometimes running iTunes once in safe-mode gets around a crash on launch.

I have the same problem. After the latest update, a screen pops up after running the applicaton and says application stopped working. APPCRASH. Something about COREAUDIOTOOLBOX.dll

How do we fix this, I cant use iTunes at all.

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates. Start with Missing MSI errors.

The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach.

Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.

The further information area has direct links to the current and recent builds in case you have problems downloading, need to revert to an older version or want to try the iTunes for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) release as a workaround for installation or performance issues, or compatibility with QuickTime or third party software.

Your library and device backups should be unaffected by these steps but there are links to backup and recovery advice should it be needed.

I have been looking at that guide many times, and it still dont work.

I've looking at the missing MSI errors. and i cant find anything in regedit, when i search for itunes6464.msi ..

but aye, still got a problem.. It is installed and stuff, and have been working for about 5-6 months ago. It has nothing to do with crashes or stuff like that, its just the problem i cant start iTunes up anymore, i get the popup instand.

I have the same issue. I can't do any backup for my phone. I am using Windows 7 64bit.

Happened to me too, for the last time, huge issues every time upgrade either itunes or windows 7 64bit.

Uninstalling all apple software, I've had enough.

Any one got any good alternative media stores?

I had this problem and found a way around it.  I am accesing through a proxy so dont kow how valid this is.

Every time itunes prompted for me to connect to the store, I deleted the keychain.plist file from the file system.  I had to do this twice.

located in folder ....\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\Preferences

After doing that no crashing and could update phone software etc and backup phone.

The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Right-click on the setup file and run the installer as administrator. In some cases you may also need to disable any non-Microsoft anti-virus software while installing.

Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.

The further information area has direct links to the current and recent builds in case you have problems downloading, or want to revert to an older version if the current one won't work properly for you at the moment.

Your library and device backups should be unaffected by these steps but there are links to backup and recovery advice should it be needed.
