Unlock with iPhone only works for 1 day

I purchased my Apple Watch Series 2 in February (2017) and ever since I've owned it I've noticed that unlock with iPhone only works for 1 day. For example, if I pair my watch to my iPhone at 2pm on Monday, I can unlock my watch with my phone until 2pm on Tuesday. After 2pm Tuesday, I need to restart my Apple watch to get unlock with iPhone working again. Once restarted, unlock with iPhone works until 2pm Wednesday, at which point I need to do a reboot of my watch again.

I've tried unpairing/pairing, and disabling/enabling passcode without any success in resolving the issue. The only thing that works is to reboot the watch once a day at the given time. Even if I reboot the watch earlier than the given time (e.g. 11:00am), that doesn't solve it. It still have to reboot the watch again at the given time (2:00pm).

Has anyone encountered this issue?
