Itunes 12.7.6.166

Thie is question and answer.

I own a Mid 2010 MacBook Pro that has treated me well from the day I converted from a PC system. Recently I gave it an update from 4gig of memory to 8 and updated the IOS to Sierra. The hope was to improve speed of operation.

The clean install was done at the Apple Store and I did the memory upgrade. When I started to restore my applications, photos, music, I found my iPad and iPhone was unable to show my apps on the MacBook.

I spend a few hours checking settings and making sure all applications were up to date. I called Apple Support. After spending about an hour with a very helpful support tech, I was handed over to his supervisor. She explained that iTunes version 12.7.0.166 is the problem. It no longer supports updating apps from your Mac to an Apple iPhone or iPad.

She explained that iTunes was concentrating on music not on apps with the new version 12.7.0.166 as if iTunes was a separate company from Apple and had no control of what they do.

What surprised me is the lack of communication within the support world at Apple.

Sincerely Apple fan
