10.5 iPad Pro Crashes

I just purchased a new iPad Pro 10.5, and I am getting a LOT of app crashes. I have dozens of GB of free space, and have downloaded everything fresh, I did not do a restore from my old iPad Mini 2.

Outlook crashed 5 times today alone, and seems to have calmed down after forcing the app closed and a restart.

I also have Hero Lab installed with a valid license, it has crashed 3 times today.

Scriviner crashed once today.

Both of these apps are the current version and have been recently updated by their respective companies.

Can I expect app instability as a norm on my shiny new apple product? I'm not going to return the darn thing, but it will mean that I never do anything 'meaningful' with it, for fear of losing data with common crashes. Is iOS 11 slated to reduce / eliminate these crashes?

Crashes like you've mentioned happen rarely, if at all, on a new iPad Pro. I strongly suggest contacting Apple Support (your warranty is going the pretty fresh, since it's a 10.5" Pro).

Actually, I just purchased an iPad Pro 10.5....I installed the iOS beta 11 and it has crashed about three times. Once the screen just went dark....I had to plug in the power cable to get it to come back on. I would recommend looking into warranty information now so as to prevent additional frustration.

Hi

Go to iCloud backup now over your wifi

Then go to settings down to reset Restore ipad back to factory settings

Waterloo restore set back up over your wifi when it asks if you want to use iCloud backup Say yes to get your apps and data back this will get rid of any bugs.

Cheers

Brian
