Flash audio in Safari 11 plays through differen...

Seeing if anyone else is experiencing this. I was updated to Safari 11 and now have observed some odd behavior. I have a thunderbolt dock my speakers are connected to and any flash player content does not play through the USB audio codec but through the built-in speakers. It only does so with flash content. Tried in Chrome and the issue does not exist. Seems to only be Safari 11 specific. Running 10.12.6 on Late 2013 rMBP. I can't seem to find any setting to change that.

You are not the only one!

This appears to be a bug and it is affecting a number of people, including me.

A temporary fix I have found is to go to Safari / Preferences / Privacy / Manage Website Data and use the Remove button. But the problem comes back.

You may also try the Safari dropdown menu and Clear History or in Safari / Preferences / Privacy / check the Always Block box.

Well I am glad I am not the only one. I thought at first it was a hardware issue. I tried your suggestion but it looks like the bug runs deep for me! grrrrrr
