Why does Find iPhone always log me out

Why do I constantly have to input my password when using Find iPhone?  It used to keep me logged in all the time.  I did just get new iPhone.  Is there a setting that needs to be changed?

What do you mean when you say "when using Find My iPhone"? Do you mean you are logging into the Find My iPhone app on your device? Are you saying you get prompts that pop up constantly, or do you mean you have to sign in whenever you open the app to use it?

I have to input my password every time I click on the app just to open Find iPhone.  It used to keep me logged in ALL the time and I was never asked to input the password.  Since I got my new iPhone, every time I go to check Find iPhone I have to input the password since it tells me that my previous session has expired and I need to log in again.  I'm not sure if it's a setting that I'm not aware of.  Thanks in advance for any help!   

The find my phone app has never kept you logged in, you are mistaken. My assumption is because it is security related since people can wipe your other devices or remove your ID from them if they have access to this app.

Perhaps you are getting mixed up with the Find Friends app.

cloud22 is not mistaken winston. i used to love the fact that my findiphone was always "open for business". we have 9 apple devices and 3 children and they are constantly saying that they have lost their device(s).

using my iphone 6 i had always been able to just open the app ....IT WAS ALWAYS LOGGED IN!. however i did an ios update on the iphone and then it stopped having the app being permanently logged in and i had to keep logging in and entering my password ....its quite frustrating as i hv to do this 10 times a day

That's why Apple added Find My Friends: About Find My Friends - Apple Support. The added security requiring your Apple ID password in orer to get into the Find My iPhone app is simply to prevent an unauthorized person from getting into the app and turning off Find My iPhone for your device.
