Mac Mail Router issues

For some unknown reason, Mac mail will not receive via router and will only send.  I have two mac books, a Mac Mini, iPad and iPhone and it's the same for each. However, If I turn wi-fi off and use 4g via Hotspot, everything works fine. I have done a full reset on the router (BTHub 6)  a few times. This seems to cure the problem but only for 15 minutes or so. I’ve turned off firewall but no change, BT haven't got a clue and neither does by service provider. My wife has a different email to me but ad she has no issues. For info, If I go to my friends house - everything works okay so at this point I’m narrowing it down to router settings? Can any one help please? Thanks

router must be blocking Port: 993

Thanks - I'll see if I can unblock it - It's a POP account. Does that make a difference?
