My iPad mini’s screen is pitch black

So, I have a 2nd Gen iPad mini. I was using it as usual when suddenly the screen turned black like it was out of battery. I tried plugging it in and heard the sound when you normally try to charge it. I tried restarting it, but the screen is still pitch black. Sometimes I’ll see the Apple Logo for a brief second before it turns black again. Please help.
