Apple Watch sounding alongside my iPhone set alarm

I have a manually set alarm set at 6:30AM on my iPhone 8 Plus, my phone is set to 'silent mode' so it expectedly vibrates rather than sounds in any way.

 

Having recently bought an Apple Watch I have noticed that it plays a sound alert despite it being set to silent mode and the alert volume being set to zero.

 

Both devices are charging when this happens.

 

Any ideas how to stop the watch making noises when my alarm goes off?

Silent Mode on Apple Watch (which is set separately on that device) does not mute alarms and timers when Apple Watch is charging.

 

If you would prefer that your iPhone alarm was not pushed to your Apple Watch, then:

 

  • On your iPhone, in the Watch app, go to: My Watch (tab) > Clock > turn off Push Alerts from iPhone.
