Two iPhones with same Apple ID and want two sep...

I have two iPhones both of which are set up with the same Apple ID. How can I set up separate icloud accounts for each phone?  My phone has same email for Apple ID and icloud account. I wants wife's phone to have icloud set up with her own email account.  Right now her phone keeps automatically reverting to my email address for icloud.

To migrate to a separate account she will have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the current account to turn off Find My iPhone when prompted (if she's running iOS 7), choose Keep on My iPhone (to keep a copy of the iCloud data on her phone), then sign back in with a different Apple ID to create her new account and choose Merge to upload the data to the account.  (Deleting the account only deletes it from her phone, not from iCloud.  This won't effect your phone.)

Once she's on a separate account, you can each sign into your account on icloud.com and delete the other person's data from your account.

Thanks!  We would like to keep the same Apple ID so we can share purchases. Is there anyway to share the same Apple ID AND have separate icloud accounts?  From what you said it Sounds like she has to set up her own Apple ID. Is that the only way?

You're welcome.  You would continue to keep the current primary account (the one listed in Settings>iCloud) and can enable photo stream in that account.  This will allow you to continue to share the same photo stream.  The secondary accounts just allow you to maintain these other data separately while sharing your photo stream.

I have iPhone and iPad and I would like to have the same ID for bout the devices, with FaceTime ? How can I do that ? Only in my iPhone I can login and use FaceTime, when I try to login with the iPad it written that I need to check my "network connection". My internet connection is working well on my wifi.

Thanks in advance

I tried these steps and successfully deleted the iCloud account from my phone.  When I go to sign back in under Settings>iCloud with a new apple ID and password, I get a popup that says "User name or password is incorrect."  What am I doing wrong?  Right now we have 2 phones with same Apple ID which is giving us all kinds of problems with merged contacts, calendars, reminders, messages.  Trying to unlink them in iCloud, but not iTunes.  Help, please!!!

You aren't doing anything wrong.  Try contacting Apple for assistance by going to https://expresslane.apple.com, then click More Products and Services>Apple ID>Other Apple ID Topics>Lost or forgotten Apple ID password.  See if they can explain why your sign in isn't being accepted and if they can correct it.

Thanks, randers4!

I actually figured out my new Apple ID and set it up for iCloud.  So now in iCloud.com, do I have to manually delete all of my husband's stuff (calendar entries, contacts, etc.) one by one?  And he has to do the same to get rid of my stuff on his phone?

Any other alternatives here?  Many thanks again!!!

You're welcome.  As you mentioned, once you are on separate accounts, you each need to manually delete the other person's data from your account.  This is much easier to do on icloud.com than on your phone, where you can click multiple items at a time (by either shift-clicking contiguous entries or control-clicking discontiguous entries), and then pressing delete.

Hello everyone.. I'm facing a similar situation. I'm having an apple id on my iPhone. Recently i purchased an iPad air and used same apple id that is on my iPhone for app store purchases. I've not yet set up an iCloud account on my iPad. On my iPhone i used the same apple id as my iCloud id. I want to have a separate iCloud account for my iPad as i don't want to share data other than app purchases between my iPad and iPhone..

Please guide me how to do it.. And kindly advice if there is any other solution to my problem..

  Thanks in advance..

I have same problem, two phones that have same ID + password for iCloud & AppStore. Need to separate them, so each has his own iCloud and access to the store. HOW to do without loosing contacts pictures etc ?
Please detailed steps, as all data is important for each.  Thanks in advance
Karni

You're looking for Family Sharing. It allows you to do exactly what you're talking about. You each have your separate accounts and then share all purchased apps among other benefits.

Family Sharing - Apple Support

You can export contacts and calendar in iCloud.

iCloud: Export contact information as a vCard

The person retaining the account can then share photos and such. It's going to take some work to separate everything.

I am  NOT looking for "family sharing", on the contrary - I look for separating completely 2 iPhones, giving each a separate ID & password (to iCloud & App Store).
Can I please have detailed explanation for the process, not loosing contacts and photos, and how to create new IDs & passwords ?
Do I need to do a backup on both phones first ?
I know its complicated, but I need this done soonest (It was done by an ignorant seller...)
Appreciate any help soon

Sorry, I received a wrong answer by someone who mislead me ....
Hope you - randers4 - can help - - -
