The certificate or associated chain is not vali...
Hi,
I am getting the following error "The certificate or associated chain is not valid" when I RDP from my MacBook Pro OS X Yosemite version 10.10.4 to my workstation.
I am using Microsoft Remote Desktop Connection Client for Mac version 2.1.1.
Please advise.
In the RDP Client preferences I set it to 'connect anyways' even if authentication fails. This worked then took me to the server desktop where login process was standard.

Thanks! This worked for me too!
Works like a charm!!
Thanks!
Thank you!!! I love you and the internet!!!
It used to be fine for me as well but does not work since the macOS Sierra update.
Agreed. I have the same issue since Sierra
Ftom75, I had this issue as well but found a beta connection that lets me bypass the error. RDP would not.

In RDP Client Preferences, go to Security and check "Always connect, even if authentication fails."
Yes, I did the same thanks!
I had the same issue after upgrading to Sierra.
I did what other posters suggsted "In RDP Client Preferences, go to Security and check "Always connect, even if authentication fails."
This worked. However, now an "enter your credentials" window opens every time I connect to my PC. Before the Sierra upgrade I did not have to enter my username or password each time.
The "enter your credential" window has a box for "add user information to keychain", which I have checked. I also went into RDC preferences and on the "login" tab I made sure my username and password was correct and I verified the "add user information to keychain" box was checked on that page too. I tried logging into my business portal via Safari and keychain worked to provide the login information there.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to resolve this?
Thanks!
Mark
