Unwatched vs. Watched

Ive recently updated the iTunes and bought the new AppleTV (4K). I watch a lot of content streaming from my Mac to the AppleTV. Since the updates, the shows I've watched and the unwatched shows appear in the same place. (cool!) However, I can't tell, and can't remember, where i'm at in the timeline of episodes. This is annoying... Is there something I'm missing?
