Macbook camera screen black and light blinking ...

I have a 12" MacBook with macOS Sierra version 10.12.6. Whenever I open an Apple app that uses the camera the screen is black and the light blinks green. I have tried restarting the computer several times and tried resettingg the SMC. Is there anybody who have had the same problem and solved it?
