Apple defaults

In teying to set uo an itunes acct for my son, Apple defaults his age to 12. How can I delete this?

He is actually 14 almost 15. Im family sharing when I go to add his birthdate it resets to 9/8/2002

How do I delete that and start with his actual bday to create his Apple ID
