contacts not syncing to watch since update 4.0

my series 2 watch is not syncing my contacts since i updated to OS4.0. I have unpaired/paired, that didn't work. Turned off/on, started working. Then 2 hours later, texts and msg back to just the phone number (no contact name) and shared workouts only shows emails, no contact name. I just did the new update iOS 11.0.1 update hoping for a fix......nope.
