opening a word doc from files opens google drive

When I try to just click on a word document in iCloud ( via files app), in order to read it, it opens google drive and I get asked if I want to save the document to my google account. Previously it would just open the document. If I tediously select it I can then "copy to Word" or lots of other document apps I have on the iPhone. But why is the iCloud app defaulting to google drive when I want to open documents on my iPhone???
