Hello Everyone,

I've been dealing with an issue, but still can't find the solution.

You see, I have a Macbook Air 13,3” 2015 Early (8GB RAM, 128GB SSD, i5 1.8GHz).

One day I accidentally hit the glass of juice, what made the juice pour out, unfortunately on my keyboard. Instantly, I turned around the laptop. I was trying to fix things up for some time, but nothing has helped.

I had to give Macbook to the authorized service (I bought him a bit more than a year ago, so warranty is expired; I believe they wouldn’t fix it anyway). After some time they called me and said that the mainboard is badly damaged and the only thing they can do is to replace it, which would cost around 620$ (I’m living in EU, so the prices are different than in USA; prices after currency conversion). I already had to pay them another 55$ for “cleaning mb” (they do it before the diagnosis). I’ve been calling to another services, not authorized this time, and 1 of them said they could try to fix it, which would cost around 150$.

When I went for my Mac the serviceman/repairer told me that everything except main board is working fine, even battery. Serviceman also told me they can buy my laptop for 165$ but I believe even ram itself is worth more.

I don’t know what to do right now. Should I take Macbook apart and sell all the working parts, give it to another service and let them try (I’m afraid they would mess things up even more than they are now) or sell it as a broken unit?

What do you think, guys?

PS Be aware that my funds are really limited, but I think I could afford a service up to 200$. But I will be selling my Mac anyway.
