Does Apple endorse the MacKeeper app?

I'm getting the little multi-colored ball that turns endlessly. MacKeeper, supposedly can eradicate this issue. Does Apple endorse using MacKeeper?

MacKeeper is practically malware. If you are having problems with the spinning ball please download and run EtreCheck, created by one of own helpers here in ASC. It is a diagnostic tool that's very useful to us in finding problems. Also it will give us further specs on your Mac. After it runs post the log file here. It will contain no personal information.

Everything needed to maintain your Mac in good working order was shipped in the box it came in, except one: An External Drive to hold your Time Machine Backup. (Time Machine software is actually part of Mac OS -- only the restore portion is a separate .app.

No third party add-on software is recommended. If it were needed, Apple would already have included it with your premium-quality Macintosh Computer.

That may be true, but the OP is having issues with the SBBOD. It is possible to troubleshoot without the help of Etrecheck but that software certainly makes life easier.
