logging into iTunes on submitting password I ge...

On my Mac, when I log into iTunes or iCloud, on submitting the password, I get a message in red text that says "This action could not be completed. Try again."  I know the ID and password are good as they work with no issues on my iPhone and iPad.  Help!!

have you tried "Try again" yet?

There are many things that can go awry other than you doing something wrong or the Apple system snot matching your credentials up - plus, that is not what the alert message says

There is likely some "connectivity" issue between your device and the Apple service
