Launch an app from Excel hyperlink
I have sent a spreadsheet(Excel) to Apple device users with a column that contains a hyperlink to launch Map.me (offline maps app) to a specific location. I know the link is valid because if I SMS it to the user and they open the link it launches the app. The launch code looks something like "ge0://_X-mwmlX3T/My_Place". But when they try to click on the link from the spreadsheet the message says "The link address may be invalid, or you may not have permission to open it". Is there any way I can get this to work, i.e. give the phone/user permission to use it? The equivalent (slightly different format) works beautifully on Android devices. Or is this just an Apple disfunctionality?
