IPad Pro 10.5 Space Gray Discoloration

Hi all,

I purchased an iPad Pro 10.5 Space gray brand new from Best Buy less than a month ago. Recently I noticed the enclosure on the back of the iPad Pro was developing a discoloration after normal use. It seems the anodizing reacted to my skin from holding it. Attached are two photos showing the problem area.

After contacting Apple support, they told me that it would not be covered under the limited warranty as ”cosmetic problems” aren’t covered... Was kinda surprised by this move on Apple’s part.

Wanted to know if anyone expeirenced such discoloration on their iPad pros at all?
