How do I get purchased music to stop appearing ...

How do I get purchased music to stop appearing on my phone (even as available to download)?  I want to just go back to the old fashioned way of uploading in itunes

Sorry, I'm confused about your question? You are referring to music which you have purchased, but which you have not downloaded, correct? Where is it that you are seeing this purchased music that is troublesome?

In the music app on my phone. Everything that I've ever purchased in itunes is there with a little download symbol next to it (meaning i have the option to either download it or stream it, if i have service/wifi). I see how that would be useful, but I don't want it. I want it all off my phone. I have tried deleting all my music, but the purchased content keeps reappearing. I understand that it's not physically on my phone, its just a download/stream link. But still, I want it to stop appearing. Trying to find out how
