My iMac key 2 with @  now has changed to "

Not aware of changing anything but my number 2 key worked fine when pressing shift 2 to get @ - now it gives me " which is useless and very annoying when entering internet addresses etc. Please help.

I'd check your keyboard settings to confirm which language you have set. Also worth checking your "language and region" setting in system preferences.... might be something to do with that.

Go to system preferences/keyboard/input sources and make sure that only US or British are on the list.  Get rid of British PC, which is the one that does this.
