weird interaction with trackpad highlight then ...

after i use trackpad to highlight a text, and then type quickly, the order of the letters are coming out in reverse order.

for example, i highlighted the text 'Google' then quickly type the word 'apple', but it will show as "elppa". it feels like to me there is a huge delay response after i highlighted the text and the | line just stays stationary while i am typing. this phenomenon goes away if i wait for like a second.

is there any to fix this?
