itunes on Windows showing 3 columns of iPhone apps

In Windows iTunes, with my iPhone connected, each page displaying apps (on the screen that lets me rearrange and reposition apps) shows 3 columns of apps, instead of the 4 I see on the iPhone itself. So some of the icons are below the bottom of the screen. There is empty space on the right, but any icon dragged to the right jumps back into the 3rd column.
