MacBook Pro retinal display screen issues

I am having issues with my mid-2014 MacBook Pro retinal display screen. The top layer seems to be delaminating around the edges. So far, this does not affect my display area, although there are small "bubbles" about the size of pinholes in various locations. I talked to Apple, and they made an appointment for me at the Genius Bar, to find out if my screen covering is defective; if so, I am told it will be replaced. I know 2013 screens have issues, but I am concerned they are going to try to talk me into an expensive repair because mine is mid-2014 and no longer under warranty. Anyone else having this issue? Thanks.

Make an appointment at the Apple Genius Bar for service. If you need to find an Apple Store - Find a Store - Apple.
