iMac wont start up after entering my password i...

Hi, i have a problem with my iMac. First, i was downloading files from my google drive and suddenly it says storage is full (which i forgot) and it hangs even before i get to acknowledge it. I hold the power button to switch it off. I turned it on afterwards and enter my password. Its starts to load. It spins but it doesnt go to the home screen. It remains like that after trying all your methods. I cant reinstall the OSX because the memory is full. Is there a way for me to erase files without entering the home screen?

If you overfilled the HD and cannot get access, you have 2 options. Option 1 is connect it to another Mac via Target Disk mode and move large libraries (music, movies, photos) to an external HD  which will free up storage. Use target disk mode to share files between two Mac computers - Apple Support

If you don't have another Mac to connect it to, your best option is to take it to your local Apple Store and bring an external HD they can use to offload the data for you.
