Scam Alert

I got an email from DO NOT REPLAY and under the subject line it said apple fraud alert saying that my account has been locked out due to unauthorized user has try to purchase something on my account and had a link to click on to if you did not authorized this purchased which was true in my case, so I clicked on it which had to sign into apple and had the option to unlock my account which tuned suspicious when they asked for my social security number.

So i exited my browser and went directly to the iTunes account instead of the link from the email that i though was ITunes. Once i got on the official ITunes website and they never asked me about unlocking my account or I did not see any evidence of unauthorized trying to purchase something on my account. Has anybody else gotten something similar?, in the email that i gotten was trying to say that someone tried to purchases some kind of fitness subscription for $35.00 an year.

Yes, there's a lot of these scams going around. Of course, Apple would never ask for your Social Security number. If you entered your Apple ID you should change that password.

You can also report this to Apple:

reportphishing@apple.com.

Unless the email was addressed to you personally, using your name or the name Apple know you by ... it is a scam.   The email should also end '@apple.com'
